Wireless mesh

Thread

IPv6 mesh

Thread is a low-power, IPv6-based wireless mesh that underpins many Matter devices. Every node is individually addressable and the network self-heals with no single point of failure.

Overview

Thread brings native IP to low-power devices, so sensors and actuators join the network like any IP device — securely and without a proprietary hub. Border routers connect the Thread mesh to the rest of the building network.

Key capabilities

Native IPv6

Each device is directly addressable.

Self-healing mesh

No single point of failure.

Low power

Long battery life for sensors.

Foundation for Matter

Carries many Matter devices.

How we integrate it

We provide Thread border routers in the system and tie the mesh into the panel's automation, so low-power Matter and Thread devices work with your wired infrastructure.
